TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAYAPURA – A violent mob set fire to a number of government offices in Yalimo Regency, Papua Province, on Tuesday afternoon (29/6/2021).
Until this night, the atmosphere in Yalimo still dominated the world.
The residents were frightened and turned to the local police and Cormel.
Based on the information gathered, at least 7 service offices in Yalimo Regency that were set ablaze by the masses.
The offices that became the object of mass disillusionment until they burned down were the offices of KPU, Bawaslu and Gakumdu.
DPRD Office, Health Office, BPKM, Transport Office including Bank Papua Office.

In addition to burning down the election management office, government and banking offices, the masses also closed the main road to Ellim, the capital of Yalimo.
Head of Yalimo Police Operations Department, AKP Agus Tianto, when confirmed, said the situation in Yalimo district remains tense.
Even the officers on duty still provide security for residents who want to evacuate.
