72nd Annual HEB Thanksgiving Day Parade Canceled Due to Storms in the Houston Area

HOUSTON The City of Houston’s 72nd Annual HEB Thanksgiving Day Parade was canceled Thursday due to storms in the Houston area.

The parade was set to take place in the heart of downtown Houston at 9:00 AM, featuring elaborate floats, marching bands, flying balloons and other local entries.

“While we are disappointed that we cannot begin the HEB Thanksgiving Day Parade, we will always be careful to ensure that our parade participants and customers are safe,” said Susan Christian, director of the Mayor’s Office. of Special Events and parade producer.

This year’s Thanksgiving Day parade would be the city’s first public event since the pandemic.

The Special Events mayor’s office will refund the face value of tickets purchased through Etix.
