Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) MP, Prince Raj, Chirag Paswan’s cousin, has been accused of rape in an FIR report filed in Delhi over a complaint from a woman.
The woman, who was reported to be an AKP worker, had complained to the police at Connaught Place in Delhi three months before she was raped and threatened by Prince Raj, an MP from Samastipur in Bihar.
Police filed a statement based on a three-month-old allegation after a Delhi court ordered it on September 9. The woman had applied to court in July.
On June 17, Prince Raj tweeted a statement denying what he called allegations of a “certain woman making defamatory statements” alleging harassment and abuse.
“I categorically deny any claim or assertion made against me. All these allegations are blatantly false and fabricated and form part of a larger criminal plot to pressure me professionally and personally by threatening my reputation,” the MP wrote.
“I am deeply saddened by these repeated and spiteful attempts to abuse well-intentioned laws to protect women in our country,” he said.

He claimed that the woman had previously made similar allegations and that he had filed a complaint against her in February. He said the FIR was also recorded in his complaint.
Chirag Paswan fell out with his cousin earlier this year when the AKP split and his uncle formed a splinter faction with five of the party’s six MPs in the Lok Sabha. Prince Raj was among the five who rebelled.
