Atletico Madrid boss Simeone gestured to Milan fans after second-half chants

Diego Simeone seemed to get quite excited by the chants of some AC Milan fans during the game at the Wanda Metropolitano last night.

Simeone is unlikely to be considered the opposing team’s favorite opponent by Milan fans, given his past with Inter and also given the course of the first Milan-Atl├ętico Madrid meeting, which saw the Argentine side take a number of controversial decisions in their favor including a red card and a penalty in stoppage time.

MilanLive writes how Simeone is known for his volcanic and lively temperament, something he does not hide during matches as he often runs out of his technical room and yells at both his players and the referees when he is unhappy.

In the second half of last night’s game, a large group of Milan fans who were in the stands at one point sang a song that was certainly provocative towards Simeone. He didn’t take the songs very well, as Amazon Prime Video said he reacted with “a bad gesture” to the Rossoneri fans, while a fan who attended the game told us he was ironically kissing the Milan fans.
