Black Friday deals on iPhones have landed. In reality, Black Friday was once considered a single day — a Friday after Thanksgiving in the US, where retailers would have huge in-store sales, then came “Cyber Monday,” another one-day event for online deals.
Now “Black Friday” is as much a state of mind as anything else, a catch-all for any kind of sale throughout the second half of November, online or in stores. Still, there are some great deals that pop up over the long weekend. Here are the latest and greatest deals on iPhones.
Apple’s Black Friday iPhone Deals
Apple is offering a $50 gift card with the purchase of an iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini or iPhone SE as part of its annual four-day shopping event, which is now live. Go here to check out Apple’s deals.
If you want a deal on the iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro, Apple never offers Black Friday deals on the very latest models, relying on trade-ins and offers from its carrier partners. You can get up to $800 trade-in credit at AT&T, from $400-$900 trade-in credit at T-Mobile, and up to $440 trade-in discount at Verizon. Verizon and T-Mobile have deals that also include the iPhone 12.
Black Friday 2021: Free iPhone 12 mini from Verizon
If you don’t need the latest iPhone, Verizon has a pretty crazy deal. You can get an iPhone 12 mini absolutely free (via billing credits applied for 24 or 30 months) when you sign up for a new unlimited plan.
Black Friday 2021: iPhone 11 Pro for $36 at AT&T
The iPhone 11 Pro is a few years old, but it’s still a decent phone, and one that’s definitely worth over $36. But AT&T sells it for just that with 64GB or 256GB of storage. There are a few conditions attached to it: you have to agree to pay $1 per month for 36 months, prepay taxes, and activate or maintain postpaid unlimited wireless service, but those are small stipulations for such a ridiculously low price. .
Black Friday 2021: iPhone 13 deals from carriers
Our iPhone deals guide lists the biggest carrier deals as of the launch of the iPhone 13. Most require a trade-in of an older phone (not necessarily an iPhone), and you’ll need to buy the new iPhone with a payment plan. Some carrier deals require you to activate a new line, often with specific subscriptions.
These are the current deals from the three major US carriers, but they may change (or be improved) for a few days around Black Friday.
Verizon: Get up to $500 off when you trade in, plus an additional $800 when you switch from another provider.
AT&T: Get an iPhone 13 for free or up to $1000 off on trade-in.
T-Mobile: Get up to $1,000 off and free AirPods (2nd generation) on the Magenta MAX plan, half on both on any plan.
Apple always has a trade-in deal that will give you up to $700 for your old iPhone when you trade it in for a new one. Granted, those hefty savings only come if you have an iPhone 12 Pro Max to trade in, while most others run for between $300-500.
Black Friday 2021: Best Buy iPhone 13 Deals
Best Buy currently has iPhone 13 and 13 Pro carrier deals available in its stores for those activating a phone with Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile.
That means, depending on the model and carrier, you can save from $800-1,000 on the purchase of a new iPhone, if you trade in a suitable phone in good condition. Many conditions apply.
Black Friday 2021: iPhone 13 Deals from Walmart
Walmart offers up to $750 worth of eGift cards on most iPhone models when you trade in an old phone. The amount depends on your trade-in and you must purchase and activate in-store or activate online. Verizon and AT&T customers can also get a $300 gift card with the purchase of an iPhone 13 at Walmart.
