Deer Park, Melbourne: Road rage incident filmed on Ballarat Rd and Station Rd

A man has been charged after images surfaced of a man with a knife being knocked to the ground with a shovel and metal pole in Melbourne.

Dramatic footage has emerged showing a man being stabbed with a shovel and metal post in Melbourne.

The vision, filmed on Sunday between Ballarat Rd and Station Rd in Deer Park, shows a brawl between three people – allegedly a woman, her partner and her ex-boyfriend.

In the clip, a car is partially covered in blood and appears to have been mounted on a nature strip before a man opens the driver’s side door with a large knife in hand.

But soon another man joins the chaos and appears to be hitting his opponent with a shovel and metal stake.

The driver was then knocked unconscious and dragged on the ground by the second man.

Witnesses were also heard screaming as the couple’s bloody scuffle continued on the side of the road.

Victoria Police said one man has been charged in the aftermath of the incident after being taken to hospital under police guard.

The 59-year-old Caroline Springs man has been charged with multiple offenses including intentionally causing injury, unlawful assault, careless driving and threats to kill.

He was remanded in custody on November 22 to appear before the Sunshine Magistrates Court.
