Jaguars’ DJ Chark suffers broken ankle in loss to Bengals, receiver to be out indefinitely

The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered a big loss in attack. In the first quarter of their Thursday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals, from the wide receiver DJ Chark was transported to the locker room after breaking his left ankle, Jaguars coach Urban Meyer confirmed after the 24-21 loss to the Bengals.

The Jaguars initially classified Chark as questionable for a comeback. Shortly after, however, he was excluded, according to Hays Carlyon at 10:10 a.m. in Jacksonville. In the third game of the game, James robinson ran to the right for a gain of 6 yards and was tackled on Chark as the wide blocked. Chark had his left leg rolled up and he stayed on the grass while everyone could stand up. The cart came out for Chark, and he was led to the locker room.

Chark has caught seven passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns in three games this season. Last week against the Arizona Cardinals, he caught three passes for 49 yards and a score. Whether this will be a season-ending injury remains to be seen, but “going out indefinitely” was not the news the Jaguars were hoping for.
