One source claimed that Harvey, Katie Price’s teenage son, was “unbalanced” after being unable to call his mother before to have him arrested while driving under the influence.
The 43-year-old former model – who shares Harvey with ex-boyfriend Dwight Yorke – has pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, driving while ineligible and driving without insurance after an accident near her home in Sussex on Tuesday.
A mother of five was involved in a one-car crash that left BMW flipped on its side on the B2135 near Partridge Green.
Days before it crashed, Harvey — who suffers from Prader-Willi syndrome, optic septal dysplasia, autism and learning disability — is distraught after being unable to call his mother.
Lifting the lid on Harvey’s heartache, a source told The Mirror that Katie’s entire family started getting worried when her son couldn’t reach her on FaceTime.
“Poor Harvey has been trying to FaceTime her all week and nowhere to be seen,” the insider said.
“It was inconsolable – it really made her family sit up and think something was really wrong.”
Katie pleaded guilty to all driving offenses, and on Wednesday told the courts she would be checking out a rehab center amid drug and alcohol problems.
The former model will enroll in a program at The Priory Rehabilitation Center in order to seek help in battling her addiction problems under the supervision of professionals.
It wouldn’t be the first time Katie had spent time in the facility while she was being screened for rehab in September 2018 in order to address her drug issues.
She spent 28 days at the facility after deciding to receive professional help after relying on cocaine to numb the pain of her problems.
Katie will now miss Harvey’s talent show after she was ordered to go for rehab assistance.
The star was scheduled to attend Autism’s Got Talent Roadshow online on October 2 but will be in rehab instead.
Both Katie and Harvey, 19, are anti-bullying ambassadors for the autism charity.
Katie is due to be sentenced on December 15.
The Mirror has reached out to Katie Price’s representatives for further comments on this story.
