United appoint Ralf Rangnick as interim manager
United have agreed to appoint Ralf Rangnick as interim manager following the resignation of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Rangnick has agreed a six-month contract to manage United until the end of May, before taking on an advisory role at the club for an initial two-year term. It is clear that Rangnick has also been given a role at United for next season.
It is clear that the 63-year-old turned down an initial contract offer from United but agreed to become the club’s interim manager after receiving and accepting new terms.
United announced their intention to hire an interim boss until the end of the season after parting ways with Solskjaer last weekend, with Rangnick being identified as the lead candidate after an interview.
