Mike Huckabee extended his hesitation about a COVID-19 vaccine to an attack on President Joe Biden on Monday.
Biden is “boring us to death” with science, the former Arkansas Republican governor and now a Fox News contributor, has acquired prime-time personality Sean Hannity.
Biden announced mandates for a new vaccine last week amid the continuing spread of the rapidly spreading delta variant. Hesitation about vaccines is significantly higher in states that vote Republican.
“Here’s the thing,” said Huckabee, one of Donald Trump’s advocates.
He said, “When my mom wanted me to eat spinach, she didn’t try to tell me about the benefits of vitamin E. She told me Popeye ate spinach and I’d be as strong as he was.”
Huckabee added, “Joe Biden needs to tell us the advantages rather than scare the daylight out of us or bored us to death with a bunch of things where he says ‘Follow the science’.”
So isn’t it about casting doubts about shots by Republican politicians and Fox News hosts?
Huckabee’s comments were shared online by the Media Matters for America group that monitors progressive media, and sparked immediate reactions on Twitter.
