This is the second Thanksgiving holiday of the Covid-19 pandemic, but it’s the first since vaccines have been made available to the public.
That’s one of the reasons experts predict busy vacation trips that are more like 2019 than 2020.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, held every year in New York City, was also more like its old self, with people lining the streets of Manhattan to watch. Last year the parade was only for TV audiences and the route was shortened.
