Trump Claims ‘Voter Fraud More Than What Anyone Can Believe’ in Michigan, Pushed for Audit

Former President Donald Trump pushed for an audit of the 2020 presidential election in Michigan on Saturday, whose claims of voter fraud in the state were “beyond what anyone would believe.”

In a statement, he called on his supporters to attend a rally on Oct. 12 “where the Patriots will demand a Forensic Audit of the 2020 Presidential Scam.”

Trump lost the President of Michigan Joe Biden of nearly three points, and no evidence of widespread voter fraud was presented.

“Anyone who cares about our Great Country should attend, because unless we look at the past and fix what happened, we have no future or a Country,” he wrote.

Michigan was viewed as a Democratic -leaning state until Trump returned it in 2016. The last time it voted for a Republican for president was in 1988. In 2020, Biden returned Michigan, winning 50.6 percentage of the vote compared to Trump’s 47.8 percent.

Michigan lawmakers introduced a bill in June that would create a bipartisan board to take an outside group to audit 10 percent of the precincts in each province and 20 percent of the Democratic Detroit-leaning precincts, The Detroit News reported

If a bill mandating an audit is passed, it will face resistance from Democratic Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, a Democrat, said in March that 250 random audits across the state confirmed the accuracy and integrity of the 2020 presidential election, WJRT-TV reported.

He called on political leaders to “tell their constituents the truth, that our election was the safest in history, and that the results accurately reflect the will of Michigan voters.”

After the 2020 election, Trump and other conservatives pushed the baseless narrative the election was stolen in major states. They pushed election audits in many swing states like Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Florida.

In Arizona, a widely condemned audit in Maricopa County promoted Biden’s success in the traditional conservative state. The audit found that Trump lost the province by a larger margin than the initial number found.

Following the release of the results, Trump wrongly said at a rally in Georgia on Sept. 25 the audit found widespread fraud.

“We won the Arizona forensic audit yesterday to a level you wouldn’t believe,” Trump told the crowd at Perry. “They had headlines that Biden won in Arizona, when they knew it wasn’t true. He didn’t win in Arizona. He lost in Arizona based on the forensic audit.”

magkatakata called Texas Governor Greg Abbott to conduct a forensic audit of election results in Lone Star State, where he won nearly six points. On the same day, the Texas secretary of state announced an audit of the counties of Dallas, Harris, Tarrant and Collin, motivating criticism that Abbott was taking orders from the former president.

Audits have been dismissed by election experts as partisan. Larry Moore, the founder and retired chief executive officer of Clear Ballot Group, criticized the Arizona audit, calling Cyber Ninjas, the company that made it, inexperienced.
