Vision Engineering and Nikon End Inspection Collaboration

Vision Engineering, the British designer and manufacturer of non-contact measurement, digital 3D visualization and ergonomic inspection technologies, has announced a product combination with Nikon’s stereomicroscopes from Nikon Metrology Europe NV, adding a higher magnification digital 3D inspection solution to its range of ergonomic inspection microscopy systems.

Vision Engineering’s 3D HD Deep Reality Viewer (DRV) along with Nikon’s SMZ25 & SMZ18 stereomicroscopes creates a new hybrid high-zoom, high-magnification 3D high-definition stereo imaging system with an optical zoom ratio of 25:1 available in stereo microscopy today .

Users can view their subject digitally in stereo through Vision Engineering’s Deep Reality Viewer (DRV), then capture the digital stereo image and share it with colleagues, supply chain partners or customers anywhere in real time.

This solution represents a significant product combination between two of the world’s leading microscopy innovators in their respective markets and extends its coverage to the global inspection market.

Paul Newbatt, Group Sales and Marketing Director of Vision Engineering said: “We are delighted to partner with Nikon Metrology Europe NV products to create a groundbreaking new DRV inspection solution. Adding Nikon’s SMZ25 and SMZ18 compatibility to our DRV and already wide range of inspection microscopy products further cements our position as a leading provider of innovative, ergonomic inspection microscopy solutions in the electronics and precision engineering sectors.”
